




Santo Nino shrine museum located at Real St. Tacloban one of the best sightseeing in Leyte, It was built for Imelda Romualdez Marcos, who was born in little town of Leyte. At the second floor are living quarters for the Marcoses, their children, and Ferdinand’s bodyguard. First floor, as well as a suite of rooms for the president’s brother one room I remembered was Governor Room. The entrance of the museum you will see the church and the statues of Santo Nino and Mama Mary. At the back of the museum there is a big Olympic size of swimming pool.
Most of the reception rooms have been used for their friends and visitors during their time. The whole museum was furnished with a multitude of antiquities from the various places such as an ivory made of elephant, the enormous mirror at first floor made in Austria, diorama showing Imelda performing in different places, the huge painting of Romualdez family tree going up to the second floor, infinite huge mirror at Imelda room, statue of Confucius, the massive large chandelier at the center of ballroom dance, the two chairs made of stainless during their 25 years wedding anniversary, two giant Presidential tables in each floor, pianos made in Europe, the Mama Mary mosaic made in Italy and the study table of Ferdinand Marcos. This museum is an awesome place it has 13 rooms at first floor, particular feature of almost room has own mirrors made in Austria and had a signed of a picture of Ferdinand and Imelda as well and each of one them has own theme, they naming according the little cities, shell, flower, coconut, mat, butterfly, dialects in little town of the Philippines such as Ilocano which is the dialect of Ilocos province where Ferdinand Marcos originally came from, and most popular flower in the Philippines Sampaguita.
